Our Teams
Rugby for everyone - from minis to seniors, men's and women's.
Senior Men's Squad
1st XV
Tradition. Resilience. Ambition.
The Broadstreet RFC 1st XV is the flagship side of the club and a team shaped by experience at the higher levels of English rugby. With a proud history of competing across National 2, Regional 1, and now Regional 2 Midlands East, the 1st XV is driven by one clear goal - to climb back up the leagues and re-establish Broadstreet at the level it belongs.
About the 1st XV
Broadstreet's 1st XV represents the very best of the club, combining battle-hardened senior players with ambitious emerging talent. Having experienced the demands of rugby at National and Regional 1 level, the squad understands what it takes to compete, rebuild, and push forward. Every performance is underpinned by pride in the shirt and a relentless desire to progress.

League Journey
The club's recent history reflects both challenge and resilience. Rather than seeing this as a setback, the current league is viewed as an opportunity to build momentum, develop depth, and fight for promotion with purpose and belief. The ambition is clear: step by step, season by season, Broadstreet RFC is determined to climb back up the leagues.
Leadership & Coaching
Guided by a committed coaching and leadership group, the 1st XV places a strong emphasis on standards, preparation, and accountability. Training sessions are intense, purposeful, and focused on continuous improvement.
Matchday at Broadstreet
Home matches at The Ivor Preece Field offer competitive rugby and a strong club atmosphere. Matchday is about performance on the pitch and connection off it - bringing together players, members, supporters, and the wider community. Support from the touchline plays a vital role in the squad's push up the leagues.
The Squad
2nd XV
Competitive Rugby. Clear Pathways. Elite Facilities.
The Broadstreet RFC Second XV stands as a formidable competitive entity within the club, offering a high-standard rugby environment for ambitious players. Campaigning in Counties 3 Midlands West (East), the team provides a robust platform for those seeking serious league action without the full commitment of the first team, or for those looking to develop their game before stepping up into the 1st XV.
This is a squad with its own goals, identity, and culture, backed by the full resources of the wider club.
The Player Experience
While the Second XV operates its own distinct match-day squad, players benefit from a "one club" high-performance environment.
- Integrated Training: The squad trains directly alongside the 1st XV (competing in Regional 2 Midlands East), sharing the same high-caliber coaching, tactical preparation, and conditioning standards.
- Technology & Analysis: All 2nd XV games are recorded and reviewed using VEO to track development and build highlight clips.
- The Best Surface: Home fixtures are hosted at The Ivor Preece Field, with premier changing facilities and some of the best playing surfaces in the Midlands.

Pathway & Ambition
The Second XV is the engine room of the club — a vital pathway for players aiming to break into the Regional 2 Midlands East 1st XV setup. Because the squads train together, the transition is seamless for those who perform on game day. It's also a destination in its own right, attracting university graduates, experienced players, and those new to the area.
The Standard
Broadstreet Second XV rugby is about competition, not just participation. Players join this squad to win games, improve their skills, and enjoy a vibrant club atmosphere.

U15-U16
Under 16s & Under 15s
We are a strong and energetic squad with developed and capable development players. Our team ethos is to provide players with a competitive and safe environment to play rugby, preparing players for the transition to colts and senior rugby at Broadstreet, and along the way manage our players so that they can achieve their team and personal goals through matches, academy opportunities and enhanced skill levels.
We are not shy and will take fixtures near and far to challenge ourselves. Training requires dedication, punctuality and effort, with matches following the same but with added intensity — we play hard, but also enjoy ourselves both on and off the pitch. We will always take on the Warwickshire Cup challenge and have reached a final and a semi-final to date.
The squad is coached by three former players who have played all levels including county and national league; their experience and knowledge supports the talent and potential within the squad.
Training: Wednesdays 6:30–8:00 PM (rotation Thursdays 6:00–7:30 PM)

U13-U14
Under 14s & Under 13s
Broadstreet Under 14's are a strong successful team led by head coach Carl, a veteran of Broadstreet having played many years and coached for even longer. He's also a Warwickshire referee with 17 years' experience. Supporting him is Kev, another veteran of Broadstreet — he and Carl played second row together for many years, and if you cut them they bleed Broadstreet colours. Dan provides extra training for the lads when he isn't coaching a very, very successful Colts team. The coaching team is rounded off by Wayne.
Our core values are built on TREDS. We are always looking for eager players to join the team. The players are both team mates and friends, with most socialising off the pitch. Our training sessions aim to build skills, fitness and growth as both a player and into a man.
Training: Wednesdays & Fridays, 6:30 PM
Matches: Sundays
Coaches: Carl, Kev, Dan, Wayne
