The U13s overcame a very strong Bromsgrove side who made them work hard for every try. Great ball handling in the backs allowed Jimmy Loftus the space to show off his finishing skills. A theme that was to repeated many times. A great burst and well timed pass by Fintan Bucke allowed Loftus to take the ball at pace and finish well for the 3rd try. Bromsgrove scored their first try when a Broadstreet attack broke down in their opponents 22 and Lewis Harkin sprinted the length the length of the pitch for an amazing solo try. HT score 5-15. Broadstreet hit back in the 2nd half when a superb pass by Charlie Rowstron put Loftus in for his 4th. Back came Bromsgrove with another cracking try, this time from Lucas Gilbert. A great ball steal at a ruck from Ollie Doughty led to a 5th Loftus try and good ball handling from Hugo Hinde led to try number 6 for Loftus and Broadstreet. In defence Broadstreet continually had to make big tackles to bring down Bromsgroves powerful ball carriers and Charlie Rowstron in particular got through an astonishing number of tackles all over the pitch. Great work again from the backs allowed Loftus to gallop through for his 7th and the final try of the game.
