What a weekend of rugby at Broadstreet RFC! Both our 1st XV and Lions squads took to the field at home — and the rugby on show was nothing short of outstanding.

Across the two games, the teams racked up over 250 points between them, playing free-flowing, attacking rugby that had the crowd on their feet all afternoon. Tries came from all areas of the pitch, with pace, skill, and teamwork on full display.

But it wasn’t just about the attack — the defensive effort was just as impressive. The 1st XV didn’t concede a single try, showing true discipline and determination, while the Lions allowed only 16 points against them across the full 80. Ruthless defence, relentless pressure, and a real team-first mentality defined both performances.

Massive credit to all the players, coaches, and supporters who made it another brilliant weekend at Ivor Preece Fields. The Broadstreet spirit is alive and thriving!
