Bill Busby - RIP
It is with deep regret we have to advise the passing of Bill Busby who sadly passed away yesterday. Bill was battling cancer for two years and more recently pneumonia and a chest infection.
Bill was a larger than life character who lived life to the full, his particular choice of footwear always got the lads chatting on a Saturday up the club.
Bill was the definition of a Valued Volunteer, he spent over 20 years assisting the the 2nd and 3rd teams as a tireless Physio and kit man and also served on the main committee over the years.
A former professional footballer during his time in Brisbane, Australia. Bill retired as a Sergeant in the Police force. He spent many an hour giving up his time and enjoying a beer at the club. He donned his boots several times at the club but was always destined to supporting the lads from a more familiar position on the touchline.
Bill leaves behind his wife Yvonne and a daughter and grandchildren along with his wider family and friends, we send our sincere condolences to all from all at the Broadstreet family.
We will keep you informed of any arrangements as soon as they are known.
Our sincere condolences to all.
