Colts (Transition) Coach Job Description

About the Club:
The Street are a well-established Level 5 club based in Coventry and playing in Regional 1 Midlands. We have both excellent facilities and pitches, which provides a fantastic environment for rugby. The club are seeking to add to the Coaching structure for the 23/24 season. It is essential to our club that the ambitions for on field success are based around player development, player retention and continuing to promote player participation across all levels of our club.

Purpose:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented coach that is focussed primarily on transitioning our strong M&J section into our Senior playing squads.
Responsibilities will include producing session plans for training nights on Tuesdays and Thursdays and delivering game strategies on Saturdays.

The role requires regular communication with the Senior Coaching team in order to align playing styles, moves/calls, and ethos so that the step up into Senior rugby is as seamless as possible. It will also require close communication with the U15/U16 Age groups in order to prepare them for Colt’s rugby. Reporting to the Senior Rugby Playing Committee.

Our wider club ambition is developing our own M&J players into strong ambitious players for our Senior sides, the Colts (Transition) Coach is an integral part of this strategy.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
· Plan and lead Training sessions and match days.
· Create an environment that stimulates and promotes player pathways and development.
· Continue to build the team culture/spirit and encourage participation.
· Develop individuals’ skill set, confidence, and fitness levels.
· Set team standards, codes of conduct and core values.

Person Specific:
· England Rugby Coaching Award – qualified to Level 2 or working towards it (the club will support personal development).

We are offering a remuneration package for the right candidate and based upon experience and qualifications. Must have a full driver’s license and a DBS will be required.
